My name is Rob Mutch and I am a nature photographer based out of Eugene, Oregon. This profession is something I have naturally gravitated to over the years through my love of the outdoors…the “wilder”, the better.

Rural Montana, Alaska and Idaho are places that I was raised and learned to appreciate nature.

My long-term goal is to gather as much photographic coverage of the United State’s Northwestern ecoregions as I can. This includes the flora, fauna, climate and geology (the biotic and abiotic) that interact to create our ecosystems.

I am also extremely interested in the anthropogenic changes we humans are bringing to the Earth’s natural ecosystems.

“We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.” ~ Aldo Leopold, A Sand County Almanac
